Ian Davenport

Ian is currently serving as the Education Director for the Repton Family of Schools in the UAE. His long association with Repton School in the UK spans various roles, from initially serving as a governor and chair of its education committee to becoming an associate governor with oversight for the UAE schools.

With a wealth of experience in education and charity, Ian has been instrumental in founding and leading three national education charities. Before venturing into the charity sector, he held the prestigious position of Head Master at Blundell’s School, served as Senior Tutor at Radley College, and contributed as an Economics tutor at Oxford University.

After graduating, Ian worked for renowned firms such as Arthur Andersen and Morgan Stanley. He also served as an adviser to prominent entities such as the Department for Education (DfE), Independent Schools Council (ISC), and Headmasters’ and Headmistresses’ Conference (HMC). His commitment to maintaining high educational standards is further evident through his past role as a school inspector.

Ian also has extensive experience of working and advising at board level. Currently, he holds the Foundation Chair position at the London Interdisciplinary School.
